Based on the strategic goal of improving the performance of the real estate sector and increasing its contribution to the GDP, the Developers Services Center (Etmam) ended October 2019 by approving 37 plans with a total area of ​​52,819,634 million m2 in various regions of the Kingdom, and provided many services to developers.

The Director General of the Center, His Excellency Eng. Abdul Wahab bin Misfer Al-Qahtani, emphasized the strategic role played by the Developers Services Center “Etmam” as a government initiative aimed at overcoming the obstacles facing real estate developers and owners of residential projects, which contributes to providing housing options for citizens and beneficiaries and increasing the appropriate supply to meet all different needs.

He also noted the complementary role and fruitful cooperation provided by various government agencies for the success of the initiative and facilitating procedures and services that greatly facilitated the work of the Developers Services Center.

Jazan region topped the regions with the highest percentage of approved plans area, reaching 24.1% and a total area of ​​12,739,218 million m2, followed by Makkah region with a total area of ​​12,157,788 million m2 and topped the largest percentage of the total number of approved plans at 24.3%, Riyadh region came third with a total area of ​​8,057,383 million m2, Asir region came fourth with an approved area of ​​7,791,751 million m2, and in fifth place came the Northern Borders region with a total area of ​​6,271,556 million m2, while Madinah region came sixth with a total area of ​​1,653,967 million m2, and Qassim region came seventh with a total area of ​​1,605,234 million m2, followed in eighth place by Najran region with an area of ​​1,503,087 million m2. Al Baha region came in ninth place with a total area of ​​309,853 thousand m2, and Tabuk region came in tenth place with a total area of ​​301,329 thousand m2. Hail region came in last place with a total area of ​​248,467 m2.

Among other services provided by the Developers Services Center (Etmam) to developers and owners of residential projects, the center completed building permit applications for a total of 518 residential units in October 2019. The center also issued 14 certificates to qualify the real estate developer, and the center received inquiries about the validity of the deed with a total of 32 deeds.

It is worth noting that the Developers Services Center cooperates with the relevant government agencies related to real estate development and consulting agencies to review documents and plans to ensure their compliance with the requirements and standards, and follow up on the application with the various authorities until the approval is issued and delivered to the beneficiary. The center has recently established an electronic link to issue building permits through its electronic platform with the Eastern Province Municipality, Riyadh Municipality, Madinah Municipality, Holy Capital Municipality, Al-Ahsa Municipality, and Asir Municipality.

The center is one of the programs and initiatives of the Ministry of Housing aimed at facilitating real estate developer procedures to support supply and enable demand, and facilitating citizens' access to suitable housing with various options, high quality and reasonable price, which results in raising the rate of home ownership, in addition to stimulating the private sector.
