During May 2020, the Developers Services Center (ETMAM) completed the procedures for approving 10 residential plans with an area exceeding 35 million m2 in various regions of the Kingdom, in addition to providing a number of other services to developers using the remote work system.

The Makkah Al-Mukarramah region topped the center’s work in terms of area by approving a number of plans with an area exceeding 22.4 million m2, followed by the Jazan region with an area of ​​5.3 million m2, then the Riyadh region with more than 5 million m2, followed by the Madinah region with an area of ​​1.2 million m2, then the Northern Borders region with an area of ​​699.8 thousand m2, and the Eastern region came last with about 549.5 thousand m2.

"Etmam" provided a number of other services to developers and owners of residential projects during May 2020, including procedures for building permit applications for more than 14,000 residential units in Dammam, Madinah and Jeddah, issuing qualification certificates for about 16 real estate developers, completing procedures for labor support requests for about 3,500 workers in "Sakani" projects, and discharging deeds for 43 residential units. The center also completed the development of the partnership service with the Ministry of Housing, as well as developing the off-plan sales license service and the off-plan real estate units sale service for small and medium enterprises.

For his part, the General Supervisor of the Real Estate Development Agency, Eng. Mazen bin Muhammad Al-Dawoud, emphasized the strategic role played by the "Etmam" Center as a government initiative aimed at overcoming obstacles facing real estate developers and owners of residential projects, which contributes to providing housing options for citizens and beneficiaries and increasing the appropriate supply to meet all different needs, noting the complementary role and fruitful cooperation provided by various government agencies for the success of the initiative and facilitating procedures and services that greatly facilitated the work of the Developers Services Center.

The Real Estate Developers Services Center is one of the Ministry of Housing’s programs aimed at facilitating real estate developer procedures to support supply and enable demand, and facilitating citizens’ access to suitable housing with diverse options, high quality, and reasonable prices, which results in raising the rate of home ownership, in addition to stimulating the private sector to invest in the housing projects sector.
