
“Etmam” approves 5 residential plans with areas exceeding 12.2 million m2 during August
The Developers Services Center (ITMAM) completed the procedures for approving 5 residential plans with areas exceeding 12.2 million m2 in a number of regions of the Kingdom during last August, in addition to providing a number of other services to developers.
Asir region topped the center’s work in terms of area by approving plans with an area of 5.2 million m2, followed by Al-Baha region with an area of 4.8 million m2, then Makkah region with an area estimated at about 1.3 million m2, and Madinah region with an area of 999,832 m2.
The program explained that about 1,713 housing units were licensed to be built on an area of 6.1 million m2 for a number of developers and owners of residential projects during August 2020. The center also provided qualification certificates to about 4 real estate developers, as well as completed support requests for registering workers for about 671 workers in the ministry's projects. The center also processed 20 requests to inquire about deeds through its system, in addition to providing support to 6 developers, in addition to launching and launching the Etmam website in English.
The center pointed to its strategic role in overcoming obstacles facing real estate developers and owners of residential projects to contribute to providing appropriate housing options for citizens and beneficiaries to meet the needs of various Saudi families, noting the complementary role between various government agencies and the private sector to make the initiative a success and facilitate procedures and services within the center's work.
"Etmam" aims to facilitate the procedures of real estate developers to support supply and enable demand, and enable citizens to obtain suitable housing with the aim of raising home ownership rates to 70% by 2030, in addition to stimulating the private sector to invest in the residential projects sector.
