
“Etmam” completes the approval of more than 22 million m2 during July 2020 in various regions of the Kingdom
The Developers Services Center (ITMAM) completed the approval of 7 residential plans in July 2020 with a total area of 22,594,024 million m2 in various regions of the Kingdom, and provided many services to developers.
The Makkah region topped the list in terms of the area of approved plans, reaching 11,804,037 million m2, followed by the Riyadh region with a total area of 5,296,926 million m2, and the Asir region came in third with a total area of 3,800,642 million m2, followed by the Eastern region with an area of 1,572,464 million m2, and finally the Madinah region with a total area of 119,955 thousand m2.
Among other services provided by the Developers Services Center “Etmam” to developers and owners of residential projects, the center completed building permit applications for a total of 990 residential units in July 2020. The center also completed real estate developer qualification certificates for 12 real estate developers, and the center also completed requests for approval to register workers for 3,000 workers on the ministry’s projects.
For his part, the Director General of the Etmam Center, Eng. Abdul Wahab bin Misfer Al-Qahtani, emphasized the strategic role played by the Developers Services Center “Etmam” as a government initiative aimed at overcoming obstacles facing real estate developers and owners of residential projects, which contributes to providing housing options for citizens and beneficiaries and increasing the appropriate supply to meet all different needs. He also noted the complementary role and fruitful cooperation provided by various government agencies for the success of the initiative and facilitating procedures and services that greatly facilitated the work of the Developers Services Center.
The Real Estate Developers Services Center is one of the Ministry of Housing’s programs aimed at facilitating real estate developer procedures to support supply and enable demand, and facilitating citizens’ access to suitable housing with diverse options, high quality, and reasonable prices, which results in raising the rate of home ownership, in addition to stimulating the private sector to invest in the housing projects sector.
