
“Etmam” completes the approval of 76 residential plans with an area of 85 million square meters
The Developers Services Center “Etmam” affiliated with the Ministry of Housing has completed receiving applications for the approval of 89 residential plans with total areas exceeding 118 million square meters, as 76 plans have been approved so far by the Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs, and the approval of the remaining plans is expected to be completed during the coming period, according to the systems and procedures adopted by the program, while last March recorded the highest demand for the development of residential plans during the past period.
The General Supervisor of the Developers Services Center “Etmam” Muhammad bin Saud Al-Ghazwani explained that the approval procedures for these 76 plans were completed in record time with an average of 15 days, after the real estate developers submitted all the justifications for the approval of those plans, indicating that the projects were distributed across all regions of the Kingdom, with a total area of 85,393,796.49 square meters.
He stressed that the adoption of these plans will add a large number of housing units that are expected to exceed 200,000 housing units, which will contribute to meeting the needs of citizens in a number of regions of the Kingdom, and will work to stimulate the developmental and developmental aspects of the residential urban environment, and provide suitable housing and diverse housing options for citizens, as the 76 approved plans included all regions of the Kingdom, as there are 15 plans that were approved in Makkah Al-Mukarramah, and 11 plans in each of Riyadh and Asir, in addition to two plans in each of Hail, Tabuk and Al-Jawf, and 5 plans in each of the Eastern Province and Jazan, and 10 plans in Madinah, and four plans were approved in Qassim, and 9 in Al-Baha. Al-Ghazwani explained that the “Itmam” Center continues to complete the procedures for approving 13 other plans for housing projects that are expected to add more than 50,000 housing units. The plans have been distributed as follows: three plans in the Riyadh region, two plans in Hail and the Eastern Region, and one plan in each of Madinah, Al-Jawf, Tabuk, Makkah Al-Mukarramah, the Northern Borders, and Najran. It is noteworthy that the “Itmam” Developer Services Center seeks, through the services it provides, to overcome the obstacles facing the approval of housing plans at the level of the Kingdom to contribute to increasing the supply of housing units and providing them at reasonable prices for citizens.
