The Developers Services Center "Etmam" completed the approval of 92 residential plans during 2018 with an area exceeding 196.2 million m2 in all regions of the Kingdom, bringing the total approved plans through Etmam since its establishment to 159 plans with a total area of ​​292.3 million m2.

The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Housing for Real Estate Development, Mr. Mohammed bin Saud Al-Ghazwani, explained that the approval of the plans comes within the Ministry's multiple projects that aim to provide housing options for citizens with all quality guarantees, noting that it will contribute to increasing the supply of residential lands and providing them at appropriate prices to meet the needs of citizens in all regions of the Kingdom, and will work to stimulate the developmental and developmental aspects of the residential urban environment, and provide appropriate and diverse housing options.

Al-Ghazwani added that the approval of the plans comes after real estate developers submit all the justifications for approval, indicating that the goal of integration between the partners of the "Etmam" Center from various concerned parties is to overcome all obstacles facing the approval of residential plans at the level of the Kingdom.

Makkah Al-Mukarramah region topped the regions with 18 plans and a total area of ​​83.3 million m2, followed by Qassim with 14 plans and an area exceeding 21.3 million m2, then Asir region with 12 plans exceeding 19.2 million m2, and Riyadh region came in fourth place with 11 plans with an area of ​​18.1 million m2, followed by Najran with 4 plans with an area of ​​11.6 million m2, then the Eastern region with 3 plans with an area exceeding 8.5 million m2, while the Northern Borders region had 3 plans with an area of ​​7.9 million m2, and Madinah region came in eighth place with 3 plans with an area of ​​7.2 million m2. Jazan obtained 7 plans with an area of ​​6.6 million m2 in ninth place, Al-Jawf region came in tenth place with 6 plans with an area of ​​3.7 million m2, Hail region had 4 plans with an area of ​​3.2 million m2, Tabuk region came in twelfth place with 4 plans with an area of ​​3.2 million m2, and finally Al-Baha region with 3 plans with an area of ​​2.1 million m2.

The center provides a service for approving land division plans for real estate developers, and this is done by submitting an application for approval of land division plans, which is divided into three stages: initial approval, approval of infrastructure networks, and final approval, by submitting the application to the center via the “Etmam” electronic system portal ((https://etmam.momrah.gov.sa)), fulfilling the documents specified for each stage.

The center, in cooperation with the relevant government agencies and consulting bodies, reviews documents and plans to ensure that they comply with the requirements and standards of the systems and planning, and follows up on the application until the approval is issued and sent to the applicant.
