The Developers Services Center “Etmam” announced the granting of 78 qualification certificates to real estate developers during 2018, as part of the package of services provided by the center to developers, which allows real estate development companies to apply for real estate qualification for off-plan sales projects.

The center explained that it coordinates with the Off-Plan Sales and Leasing Committee “Wafi” until the approval of the qualification is issued and sent to the applicant after completing all procedures and fulfilling the conditions and requirements, as this service contributes to increasing the number of real estate development companies and institutions to accelerate the completion and development of residential projects in various regions of the Kingdom.

He pointed out that obtaining a qualification certificate requires 6 basic requirements to apply for it, the commercial register, the articles of association if it is a development company, a certificate from the General Organization for Social Insurance, in addition to a classification certificate from the Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs (for the contractor), a certificate from the Zakat and Income Authority stating that there are no dues on the company, and a certificate from the Chamber of Commerce, indicating that to obtain a real estate qualification certificate, 5 qualification criteria must be met, which are organizational capabilities, institutional capabilities, financial capabilities, in addition to the record of achievements, experiences and methodology followed for development. It is worth noting that the “Etmam” Center is one of the initiatives of the Ministry of Housing that aims to facilitate the work of real estate developers to accelerate the pace of work in the real estate sector and residential projects, as the center provides 21 services through the center’s electronic portal (https://etmam.momrah.gov.sa), which increases the volume of housing units offered annually.
